General information and entertainment

Everything on thegujaratishayari.com (the “Site”), including shayari, descriptions and other text, is provided for general information, entertainment and personal enjoyment. It is published in good faith to help people find, read and share Gujarati shayari.

In short: enjoy the shayari, but any decision you make based on what you read here is your own responsibility. We publish poetry, not instructions for how to live.

Please read this Disclaimer together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Accuracy of content

We take reasonable care with the content we publish, but we make no warranty that it is complete, error-free or suitable for your purpose. In particular:

  • Gujarati varies by region, community and generation. Spelling, phrasing and idioms differ, and the version we publish is one of several.
  • Some drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. Each piece is reviewed and edited by a person before publication, but mistakes can still slip through.
  • Where we mention poets, traditions or cultural references, it is general context and not scholarly authority.

If you find a mistake, please tell us using the details in the Contact section. We will check it and correct genuine errors.

Traditional and cultural content

Many couplets on the Site belong to the shared tradition of Gujarati folk and devotional poetry. They have been repeated and adapted over generations, and no single person or website owns them. We often cannot name an original author. Where an attribution is commonly known and we are confident of it, we give it. Where it is not, we present the shayari as part of the shared tradition.

You may find a similar but not identical version elsewhere. That does not make either version wrong. We publish one commonly recognised form for readability.

Emotional and sensitive content

Some shayari deals with heavy themes such as heartbreak, separation, loneliness, loss and grief. This is poetic expression meant to help readers feel understood. It is not meant to encourage or glorify self-harm, hopelessness or harm to others, and no line should be read as an instruction.

If you are feeling low: please talk to someone you trust or a qualified mental health professional. This Site is not a substitute for real support. If you or someone you know is in crisis or in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or a mental health helpline in your country straight away.

Religious and devotional content

The Site includes devotional shayari for Mataji, Radha Krishna, Mahadev, Hanuman Dada and other deities. It is published as cultural and devotional poetry that many Gujarati speakers use for festivals and personal faith.

  • No religious authority. We are not a temple, a religious organisation or a spiritual authority. Devotional lines are poetry and personal expression, not scripture, rulings or prescribed prayers.
  • Respect. We aim to present all content respectfully and expect the same from readers. Devotional content for one tradition says nothing about any other tradition or person’s faith.
  • Festival timing. Posting around occasions such as Navratri, Janmashtami or Diwali is for convenience only and carries no ritual meaning.

No professional advice

Nothing on the Site is medical, mental health, relationship, legal, financial or religious advice. Shayari about illness, sadness, love or loss is poetry, not guidance. If you need advice in any of these areas, please consult a qualified professional where you live. Anything you decide based on your reading of the Site is your own responsibility.

Language and interpretation

Gujarati words often carry shades of meaning that do not survive translation, and shayari is deliberately open to interpretation. Any English wording we add is only a helper, not a definitive translation. Two readers may understand the same couplet differently, and we are not responsible for how any person interprets a line.

Views and opinions

Shayari may express strong emotions such as anger, defiance or sorrow. Publishing a line does not mean we endorse it, and reading it does not mean you must agree with it. Opinions expressed in any shayari or text on the Site are those of its author and not necessarily of the Site, its editor or its service providers.

Reader comments

Where comments are enabled, they are written by readers. They do not represent our views, and we do not verify what commenters say. We may review, edit, hold or delete comments, including spam and anything that breaks our Terms and Conditions. Please do not post personal or sensitive information, since comments are public. See our Privacy Policy for how comment data is handled.

Advertising

The Site is supported by advertising, such as Google AdSense. This keeps it free to read.

  • Ads are selected automatically by the advertising network, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We do not choose individual advertisers.
  • An ad does not mean we endorse the advertiser, its product or any claim in the ad.
  • We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or safety of any advertiser or advertised website.
  • Anything you do with an advertiser, such as clicking, visiting, buying or sharing information, is between you and that advertiser.

If you see an ad you think is misleading or inappropriate, you can report it to the ad network, or email us and we will pass the report on.

Third-party platforms

The Share button on the Site opens your device’s share options or an app you choose, such as WhatsApp. When you send content through a third-party app or social platform, that platform’s own terms and privacy policy apply, and we are not responsible for what it does with your information.

No guarantee of results or availability

We do not promise that a shayari you send will get any particular reaction, or that anything on the Site will help in your personal, social or professional life. Shayari is expressive, not functional, and how others respond is outside our control.

The Site is provided on an “as available” basis. We cannot guarantee that it will always be accessible, uninterrupted or free of errors or harmful components, and it may be unavailable at times because of maintenance, security measures or problems with our hosting providers. Some features may also not work on older browsers or if you block cookies or scripts.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Gujarati Shayari and its editor are not liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, including errors, omissions, interruptions, linked sites and advertisers.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer. Our Terms and Conditions contain the other terms for using the Site. If you access the Site from another country, you are responsible for following any local laws that apply to you.

Your acknowledgment

By using the Site, you confirm that you have read this Disclaimer and accept it. You understand that you use the Site at your own risk, that shayari is poetry and not professional advice, and that you are responsible for your own decisions. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.
