How the content is made
We believe readers should know what they are reading, so here is how the shayari on this site come about.
- Original shayari. Many couplets are written for this site. They are grouped by mood and category and are published under the site’s name.
- Traditional sayings. Some lines belong to the shared folk and devotional tradition of Gujarati. No single writer or website owns them. We edit these only for spelling, punctuation and line breaks.
- Use of AI tools. Some drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. Every piece is then read, edited and approved by a person before it is published, and anything that reads awkwardly or is wrong in Gujarati is rewritten or removed.
- Review. Before publishing, a shayari is read for spelling, grammar and Gujarati script accuracy, and checked that it fits the mood of its category.
We do not copy collections from other websites or books. We do not republish lines by modern published poets without permission.
