Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and The Gujarati Shayari (“we”, “us”, “our”) about your use of thegujaratishayari.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

In short: you may read, copy and share shayari for personal use. You may not copy whole collections to another site, sell our original shayari, scrape the Site, or misuse it.

These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Site. If you are under 18, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian. You must not use the Site where the law forbids it, and you agree to follow all laws that apply to your use.

About the Site

The Site is a free, independent website that publishes Gujarati shayari and is supported by advertising. We do not sell goods or services, and there is no subscription, membership or paid plan. The Site is provided on an “as available” basis.

Licence to use the Site

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Site for your own non-commercial purposes. This licence does not allow you to:

  • reproduce, republish, sell or redistribute the Site or a substantial part of its content;
  • use our name or content in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you;
  • frame or mirror the Site inside another website or app; or
  • remove or hide any copyright or attribution notice.

Intellectual property

The Site’s design, layout, code and features, the name “The Gujarati Shayari”, and the original shayari and text written for the Site belong to us or are used with permission. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you, and all rights not expressly given are reserved. You may refer to the Site by name in a factual way, but may not use our name or logo to suggest endorsement without our written permission.

Traditional and original shayari

Traditional shayari

Many couplets on the Site belong to the shared tradition of Gujarati folk and devotional poetry. No single writer or website owns them, and we do not claim copyright in them. We edit them only for spelling, punctuation and line breaks.

Original shayari

Shayari, introductions and other text written for the Site are protected by copyright. You may not copy them in bulk to another website, app or publication, or republish a substantial part of them, without our written permission.

Attribution

Where a shayari is commonly credited to a known poet, we try to say so. If we missed a credit or got one wrong, please tell us and we will correct it.

Personal use of shayari

You are welcome to use shayari from the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as:

  • sending a couplet to friends and family on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or by SMS;
  • using a line as a caption, story, status or bio on your own accounts;
  • saving a couplet to your device for your own reference.

If you post a couplet publicly, please mention thegujaratishayari.com. You may not:

  • republish collections of our original shayari on another website, app or page;
  • sell or license shayari from the Site, or put it on products for sale such as cards, posters or merchandise;
  • use it in advertising or promotional material for a business; or
  • present our original work as your own.

If you are not sure whether your use is allowed, ask us first.

Prohibited conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • break any law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or connected systems;
  • introduce viruses or other malicious code, or try to overload or disrupt the Site;
  • bypass or interfere with the Site’s security features;
  • reverse-engineer or copy the Site’s code or design;
  • impersonate anyone or misstate your connection with a person or organisation; or
  • use the Site to harass, defame, threaten or abuse anyone, or to spread hateful or violent content.

Automated access and scraping

You may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated tools to systematically download, copy or index content from the Site, except for ordinary search engine crawlers that follow our robots.txt file. In particular, you may not use content from the Site to build a competing collection, or to train, fine-tune or develop AI or machine learning models, without our written permission. We may block access from anyone who does.

Comments

Some pages allow comments. If you comment, you agree that:

  • you are responsible for what you write and have the right to post it;
  • your comment will not be unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading or spam, will not contain advertising or promotional links, and will not include other people’s personal information or copyrighted material you do not have permission to use;
  • we may display your name and comment publicly, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish it on the Site; and
  • we may review, edit, hold or delete any comment at our discretion.

Comments are the views of their authors, not ours. To have a comment removed, email us with a link to it. See our Privacy Policy for how comment data is handled.

Advertising

The Site is supported by advertising, such as Google AdSense. Ads are chosen automatically by the advertising network, and an ad does not mean we endorse the advertiser or its claims. Anything you do with an advertiser is between you and them. We do not ask you to click ads, and we ask you not to click ads on the Site for any reason other than genuine interest. If you think an ad is misleading or inappropriate, you can report it to the ad network or email us.

Availability and changes to the Site

We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. It may be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems with our providers, network issues, security incidents or other events outside our control. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Site, including categories, features or content, at any time.

Termination of access

We may suspend or end your access to the Site, including by blocking an IP address, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or are abusing the Site. Parts of these Terms that should continue after access ends, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability and governing law, will continue to apply.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that its content is complete, accurate or up to date, or that it is free of viruses or other harmful components. Please also read our Disclaimer.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, including loss of data, profits or goodwill. This includes loss or damage from reliance on content, from third-party content or conduct, from linked sites and advertisers, and from interruptions or technical problems.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects any statutory consumer rights you have that cannot be waived by agreement.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the Site’s operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live. If you have a concern, please email us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Most issues can be settled quickly that way.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. For significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to let you know, for example with a notice on the homepage. Using the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

General terms

  • Severability: if a part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be limited to the smallest extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect.
  • No waiver: if we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
  • Transfer: we may transfer our rights and duties under these Terms, for example if the Site is sold. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.

Contact
